Grind or crush your ingredients with the Mosser Glass 16oz Mortar & Pestle in Jadeite. Made from Mosser’s signature hand-pressed glass, the mortar holds a capacity of 16oz of ingredients. The opaque Jadeite color tips its hat in homage to the Depression Era of the 1930s when American families were fascinated with jade heirlooms and trinkets, adding the right kind of color to early 20th century kitchens. With sturdy, thick walls and a durable base, the Mortar & Pestle will crush anything you need. You can take herbs & spices down a notch by grinding them inside the mortar or you may indulge in smashing down ingredients for hummus, pesto, aioli, and guacamole to entertain others or family with intercontinental and regional appetizers. The mortar also features a humble spout to pour your ingredients onto food. With the Mosser Glass 16oz Mortar & Pestle in Jadeite, the only thing that will not crush down is the lavishing and illustrious glass construction.

About Mosser Glass

Mosser Glass has perfected its glassware-making process over the last 30 years in their family-owned and operated facility in Cambridge, Ohio. Using cast-iron molds, the raw materials such as soda ash and silica sand are poured in liquid form and hand-pressed to engrave the glassware with the design. Once hardened, the glass is polished by a glazer which fires the glass and melts the outermost layer, leaving a smoother and shinier finish. Following the glaze, glasses go through a three and a half hour annealing process that allows them to slowly cool, preventing shattering or breaking. By blending beauty and fine craftmanship, Mosser Glass represents their longstanding legacy in every piece of glassware they make.
